Catalyst 3.9 or Omega whatever for 9800 pro?

The official 3.9s work fine for me so try them,if you do get any problems you can then try the Omega drivers.

I ran the 3.9's on my 9800 and they worked fine, but I installed the Omega version on the 3.9's and I liked them better. The Omega driver seems to have a little better picture quality and I like the way it is packaged for the install. I stayed with the Omega's and am happy!

I have the omegas installed right now, but must admit that I am not sure if there is any difference.

omega has a huge difference with particles, like smoke, cards get far less smoke related slow down based with omegas.
