For those wondering, I'll save the suspense: NO SKYRIM FIXES. Crossfire updates for this family are not released yet, still on 11.11 CAP3.

I'm glad they fixed the Hawx thing, that was a huge pain in the ass.

Link to AMD saying that?

http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/Catalyst121Previewdriver.aspx

The AMD Catalyst™ 12.1 Preview includes all of the features found in AMD Catalyst™ 11.12 and also includes all of the latest optimizations found in the AMD Catalyst 11.11c performance drivers (AMD Catalyst 11.12 does not include the latest 11.11c optimizations). It is highly recommended that all gamers use the AMD Catalyst 12.1 Preview driver.

edit: something else to note if you're playing Skyrim:

Performance highlights of the AMD Catalyst™ 12.1 Preview driver (in addition to the AMD Catalyst 11.11c performance driver)

· Improves performance (10-15%) in Elder Scrolls: Skyrim when Multi-Sample Anti-Aliasing is enabled on the AMD Radeon™ HD 6900 Series for single GPU and AMD CrossfireX configurations

12.1 Preview seems to run a tad bit smoother for me in Skyrim with 2xMSAA (no FXAA) than 11.11c or 11.12.

No need to update to these when running XP I suppose.

lol u cant be serious? ppl are still using XP for gaming??? its like 10 years old now! How can u justify paying $50 for a video game u play for a few weeks & not paying $100 for a new OS that u'd use EVERY SECOND your computer is on for years to come?

I had windows 7 but greatly disliked it so I went back to XP.

really? you must really hate change? we all moved to Win7 from either XP & Vista, and the vast majority of us stayed with Win7. I can't EVER imagine going back to XP after win7, to each his own though. U know the security in XP is very minimal right?

Unless the individual has an old system, both Vista and 7 were far better than XP. But, if he's got older hardware, thats another issue. :p

Seriously, I'm curious why some one would voluntarily go back to XP from 7?

I just use this computer for gaming and as long as games work on XP I will continue to use it. I do not care about any security issues since I do not keep anything important on my computer.
