Drill Press for $29.95! Awesome gift for those tool-loving guys. Drill presses are usually VERY expensive. However, you can get this Industrial Pipe & Steel Co. 5 speed utilitybench type 8" swing drill press for $39.95 plus shipping, then use coupon code (which I can not post here) for $10 off a $20+ Purchase (expires 12/31/00). So goodluck.

Also, add a 5 piece Pro Plier Set (worth $79.95) for $4.95

I found the deal at GOTapex?

Wow- that looks like some heavy-duty machinery. But I have absolutely no need for it . . . to buy- or not to buy . . .

Wow, I was expecting some sort of mini-drill-press... this isn't the biggest cat on the block, but it is still worth more retail than the $119 it's listed for...

Maybe it's 1190 list, 390 sale and a misprice?

Beats me... still a great deal.

I got mine in Monday. I have not yet performed the minor assembly required, but this looks like a pretty nice drill press (and it is fairly heavy, too).

In case anyone cares, the variable speed is not selectable using a potentiometer or switches; you must move a belt between pullies to change the speed.

MisterE,

Moving a belt between pulleys could be a good thing since it may be possible to hack the thing to install a faster motor or smaller drive pulley's for higher speeds...

Would you mind reporting to us who the manufacturer of the unit is please? Thanks!

Don't buy this junk. It is not worth it. The thing barely runs. It looks like it will rust in 1 year. And the spindle (whatever holds the drill) wobbles. It is chinese made. This is the worst deal I have ever gotten because I am not going to use it and it takes up so much space in my house. And it works just enough so that I can't demand my money back, and its too heavy and difficult to pack to ship it back. And its too heavy for the garbage.

It doesn't have a brand name on it :frown: so it probably IS cheap China junk, but for $46.95 shipped to my door I think it is worth the risk to see. Plus it looks good in my shop. :D

Now I just need to find a cheap 10-ton hydraulic press.
