My mother has one. It's ok for 1 or maybe 2 cats, but it's not very powerful. You have to use clumping litter and the plastic trays that contain the scoopings are pretty expensive as well.

I would have to purchase 3-4 at least and they are expensive. Also, several of my cats are spooked very easy and I don't think they'd go near it after the first time is cycled.
