One of my cats, Meat, has human-like allergies. When certain plants are blooming, he scratches himself bloody, his face gets all swollen and he pretty much carves up his face until we can get him to the vet for a cortisone shot, like we did yesterday. He shows immediate improvement and is probably good until spring.

Fun cat fact: They WILL eat your bloated corpse should you drop dead and not feed them for a few hours.
