That has me ROFLOL because it's a scene from my childhood (without the cat climbing the second tree). Cat got stuck in our tree, neighbor who owned the tree climbed up and dropped it into a blanket being held, cat landed, turned over and streaked under a car.

Exactly. They'll whine and complain for a long time, but eventually they'll come down on their own. One of my cats several years ago (declawed in the front, no less) managed to climb a tree. I think he yelled for two hours before coming down on his own.
