Cat brought me a present

At least she brings you whole animals. A good majority of the time we end up with parts of animals.

No... it wasn't dead, but it's 37 degrees outside, so it wasn't moving all that fast. I droped in over the fence in the neighbors yard. The cat was pissed at me for taking away her toy.
 
It's a juvenile snake of some kind, they often don't have any color at that age. Probably a blacksnake. It will die from an infection.
 
while working on the yard today I heard a weird crunching sound coming from behind me. It was my cat chewing on what looked to be a hamster......someone's looking for a hamster in vain.

Why the heck do cats do that? During the summer the same cat will often bring semi live lizards into house and just let it lose.
