Cat and kittens killed a mouse *PICS*

Our cat walked into the kitchen with a mouse and just set it down on the ground. It seemed to be alive and well but it wasnt running away, might have been a little stunned. She then took it to her kittens and it was a free for all from there.

Cats leave "presents" a lot, I guess as thanks for feeding them or something. We had one that would leave either the head or the body of a chipmunk by our front door. We'd come home and just find a random body part there, and she'd come over and purr and look at us as if to say "Well, say thank you at least."


Cats are incredibly weird animals. Don't tell them I said that though.

my cat catches and eats freaking squirrels... talk about a fast little hunter...
ive never seen cats able to catch full grown heathly squirrels in trees before...

My cat caught birds from inside the house by lureing them down the chimney with weird sounds she would make. Cats are amazing little killing machines.

Cats are pretty amazing hunters. Although when they're kittens like that they don't always seem to know what to do when they finally catch something.

I had a tom cat that caught and killed a weasel once. No idea how that went down, he was a pretty small cat and that thing was almost as big as he was. Then again, I have a photograph of him laying into a fat racoon that came up on our deck so I guess this wasn't out of character for him.

Thats how the parent show the kids what/how to kill and eat. If you had no adult cat and pet mice then the kittens would learn that mice are part of the family.

We had an adult cat, when we bought a puppy. The dog loves the cat, and the cat hates the dog. Then we got a kitten and the kitten loves the dog & the adult cat.
