Unless your cat is using your computer as a heating pad, in which case one can only glare at ones wife as she exclaims "how cute he is". Lock the computer or enable the option to require login after the screen saver.
 
win+L is definitely the best way to keep the cat from messing with the KB...however...
If the problem is this, then I dunno how to help. 😛
 
My cat use to sit on my crt monitor ever sense I got a lcd he can't anymore. One time he almost thought he still could and would of missed.
