It will be interesting to see if I get a higher 3DMark score. But what a list of fixes!! Thats one thing I missed about using ATI cards, the frequent driver updates. Coming from a pair of 8800GT and nVidia still sitting on official drivers from December, this is great.

Yea I don't know what the deal is with the broken link. Yours doesn't work for me either. Something about invalid SSL certificate. Dunno.

Still not supporting the HD 3850 AGP, works using the manual installation without issues, they took forever to fix the Lost Planet issue with 4x or 8x Anti aliasing...

So I can phase out Windows entirely from my machines. The only thing I boot into windows for now is to play games.

Secondly, so people can actually use the 3870X2 flagship card under Linux. At the moment, the best you can hope for is a single core with extremely limited functionality under the RadeonHD driver.

I agree but what about the most relevant problems?

"Tomb Raider Anniversary: Performance improvements are now noticed when playing the game with CrossFire? enabled."

That line should say Crysis...

I'm still growing more furious.

Twin 3870X2's with CrossfireX on and in Crysis at 1280x720 I can't go above medium. High shaders (which makes or breaks the Crysis lighting "glory") brings it to an average 40 maybe with stutters and slowdowns to 20fps. And I thought I was getting four times the muscle upgrading from a 2900XT!

I will say that besides some gliches and 5fps areas, Bioshock was a dream with the new GPUs.

Did you uninstall the previous drivers properly? I have only 3850 512 Crossfire and I run 1920x1200 DX10 w/Medium around 33fps avg........So I'd imagine you'd get a bit more at 1280x720 (note I hope your not just running the built in GPU 'bench' thats the worst indication of performance there is for this game).

Cool beans. I'll have to grab those. Though they fixed a bug with Blu-Ray and CyberLink 7.3, which I'm running, and that bug has never affected me...

Fixes 3D Mark06 for me. Sort of. Got back my numbers, 13894, best score yet. I get rolling horizontal lines in all 3D sections. Starts at top and goes down screen, one right after another. I assume this is crossfire doing this. Oblivion works great once it gets to main option screen, some corruption before that. Seem to be getting better frame rates, saw 145 at 8:30am in the market place. Witcher doesn't like crossfire at all now, better framerates than a single card now but rolling lines from starting the game to loading a save. Works fine on a single card.

kinda weird... still getting the crappy score in 3dmark... but UT3 got some seriously insteresting results... the menu now get lower frames from 140 to 60 lol... with no vsync and no framerate smoothing... but in the game, inside a map call corruption the game runs better with 4AA 8AF 1680x1050 lol... Almost max details... all max but world detail that is in 80% lol...

is kinda odd... same 3dmark score... lower frames in menu.. and higher in game....

if that is the new way to do things.. omg... I want all my game menus running at 1fps

I gain a couple hundred point in 3DMark, score. So far I have played Witcher, so far no issues running it in Crossfire. But during the action scenes during the opening movie I see a horizontal line flash every now and then but no rolling horizontal lines. I will be playing UT3 later to see how that runs.

yeah just did a thorough reinstall of cat and crysis, and no difference. And yeah, 1920 is almost smooth at medium but move shaders to high, and it grinds into a slideshow. I wonder if taking out one of the cards would improve it. so far COH is the only thing I know benefits from 4 GPUs.

Installed on my x1950 Pro AGP in XP SP2. Played NWN2 for about an hour, no problems so far.
