CAT 7 to CAT 9 WOW

I'm sorry but the Cats have sucked it up on the past two installments. I would crash anytime I played CoD, BF1942 and NFSU. The Cat 3.9 were much worse than the 3.8s. I'm back on the 3.7s for that simple fact.

I agree. Especially with the monitor issues (which almost fried my $500 VP171b LCD 🙁) I say that the Omega 3.7 is the current best release.

Anyways I use Cat 3.9 on my lappy and 3.7 on the desktop both seem to work fine for me I hope they fix some bugs for the 3.10 release though.

Actually, they've been out for some times from ATI. They were released as a hotfixed 3.9 for AIWs but are actually non-WHQL certified 3.10s.

I'm running the Cats from Windows Update. I think they're still based on the 3.7

Work fine for me, but next time I reformat I'm going to try the Omega's.

Clueless. Those cats don't even support OpenGL.

Shouldn't that be 4.0? As 3.10 is too close to 3.1 for the simple folk online....

ATI uses the format: year.release.
So, 3.10 would theoretically be the 11th release of 2003 (since there was a 3.0) but since there was no 3.5 it is only the 10th.
There are rumors that next year ATI will adopt a 3.01 numbering scheme but that's not confirmed 😉

Hah, and I thought this was supposed to be in the networking forum... I didn't even know there were Cat 7 or 9 ethernet cables. 😱

Which ones? The Windows update or the Omegas? I am running IL2:FB just fine and I think I have it under Open GL.😕
