fortunately, with a single big package and resumable d/l, i got mine overnight while i am sleeping . . . . heck, i can d/l even while i am playing a game - forget doing anything else on the 'net. . . .
actually i just installed it and the cp doesn't appear different from the last one . . . i imagine this is more of an "issue resolver" . . . i didn't have any issues with 4.8; but then i already finished (and discarded) Doom iii and was only playing Max Payne II [nice game, good gfx, smooth running, Xlnt gameplay BTW; unfortunately the story was crap compared with the first one - it answered too much

Once you have .NET (and don't FORGET the .NET patch!), it isn't much bigger than the regular CP and i do see some advantages . . . well it is moving in the right direction to make it easier for n00bs while retaining advanced settings for the tweekers.
