Those seem to be getting the best reviews in the sub $200 range. Looking for patrol/ops boots kinda. Something I can wear everyday (slacks/button down shirt, sometimes a tie. these wouldn't be worn with suits) that are super comfortable. Have to be soft-soled. I can't stand the CLOP CLOP CLOP that shoes like this make.

I know Bates is one of the bigger LEO/military shoe/boot suppliers, that's why I've been looking at them.

Rockport is recommended a lot by folks that like them for comfort. Been looking at something like the Malachite boots or the Birch shoes from Rockport, and the Chukkas from Bates. Don't want shiney, don't want suede.

Need a black pair and a brown.

Anyone like either brand? Wolverines are going to be a little more rugged looking for what I need to have.

I grabbed a pair of Deer Stags out at JC Penny the other night and they are super comfortable. Have a little air pocket in the heel that bounce when you walk. I like em a lot, but dunno how well they will hold up, never heard of the brand.

I prefer Kenneth Cole. Don't sacrifice any fashion and you get very comfortable soles and uppers.
