The same counts for other, comparable situations, like sky-diving etc. It does indeed make you older 😉

NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - If the world seems to be shrinking, a new study suggests that indeed it is--particularly when it comes to sexual contact.

Indeed, the investigators found that the sum of all the sexual partners of the 10% most sexually active men accounted for 48% of all sexual contacts in the network. This means that people with very few sexual contacts are still likely to be exposed to people who have had sex with many partners, Amaral explained.
``You might think you're far away from the chain but now you've had contact with someone with a very large number of contacts. You can actually interconnect everyone in the network with very few people,'' said Amaral, who estimates that there are, on average, three to seven people between any pair.

My wife and I both were virgins when we got married. It's not as uncommon as many of you seem to think. There may be a very vocal section of society that treats morality as an outdated concept, but there is an equally large segment that truly believes in the sacredness of certain acts.

It is a stance I personally believed in, and followed. I'm not out there, or in here, trying to force it on you, or on anyone else, but it is a valid stance for an individual to have and one that does not deserve to be mocked.
Its my life, and my body (and in my faith, its my soul) and it is a valid choice for myself or anyone else who chooses it.
Would I have married a non-virgin? Yes, if I loved her as I do Elita (Elita and I both waited for our marriage). Her past in that area would have been hers, and as long as there were no lasting effects (STDs, etc) then it would really not be my business to judge it. My still devout Roman Catholic brother is happily married to a great girl who had her own history in that area - it was never any issue for anyone!
I think your reaction to the book is more about the tone and delivery, which is indeed an exaggerated one. But I would still say that that bad delivery does not invaildate waiting for marriage if thats someone's choice.
It was my choice, it may not be yours. But I won't mock, accuse, or belittle you for your path and I ask that you have the same respect for mine. Thats all. 🙂

I seriously doubt that I will die of old age, and even if I do I'll be so broke I'll WISH I was dead, cuz we all know social security isnt gonna be around when I'm old. You might only live once, live it up, live how YOU want to. Religion is social control. Only YOU can decide what is and isnt moral. And before I get flamed for being anti-christian, I was a catholic altar boy in my youth. I know the Bible. I have studied Theology. Alot of it is really disturbing.

Yeah, as a Catholic/Christian I'm often embarrased by the way some people try to state things about our faith... really I'm sometimes so far at odds with fundamentalists that its surprising. 🙂 Remember - I'm Catholic, some Christians gat just as mad at us as they do atheists. 😉
