was it just me, or did julia louise dryfuss look like she wanted to be elsewhere during the whole thing? She kept looking around and was not happy about the dumb audience imitating her dance. I get the idea that Jerry may, in fact, be an asshole, even though his show was awesome.
Yeah, Jerry is actually a big stuck up jerk. He was like that when I saw him live here in town last year. I got tickets from my friend who's a stage hand at the auditorium he was at. Jerry had rules like "you weren't allow to speak to him, there could be no meat in his sight, etc." He got the impression that Jerry's a very picky person that needs to be seen as the authority figure anywhere he goes or he's not happy.
He's also probably sick of the TV show. He did his "Newman" bit during a Q&A portion he does during all of his live shows, but after the second tv show question, he pretty much said "aww, we've been there" and ended it. I understand it cost $75/ticket for a 60 minute show (actually 55 minutes because he got agitated and left). No encore, no nothing. I think he's a riot, but he doesn't seem to be the nicest person. Dryfuss is reportedly the same way, but she has no real talent to fall back on, so she's also grouchy
That's why I really like comedians like Bill Cosby. He's the real deal, what you see is what you get, go out of your way to shake your hand type of guy.
