Cassette to CD

I want to convert some of my old cassettes into cds. Is there any program theat will stop recording when the tape stops. I want to just let them go over night but with audacity it just records nothing once the tape ends. Is there an option I am missing or a better program to do this with?

record the tape into an mp3 file, then when you're finished use audacity to edit out the silence at the end. problem solved.
