Would you mind saying where you were able to find the exilim for 150? I am also interested in buying a camera like that.

I am by no means biased, my main camera is an olympus DSLR 500 and my old point and shoot is a Casio 9000U, but I purchased an SD200 for my girl a year ago and it is by far the most impressive PS in its class. Plus the design is stellar. You really dont need anything more then the SD300 for 8x10 printing but if your going ot go bigger then get the 450 the added features are nice mainly the tougher LCD screen.

The Exilim is a TERRIBLE camera. Two of my friends have them and the pictures are very low quality... I guess that's the tradeoff with the tiny size.

maybe for casio, but canon has perfected digital imagery on tiny point-and-shoot.

I have an older Casio Exilim (without digital zoom) and let me tell you that for no reason it has started acting kind of funny and not taking the best pictures.

it cannot be beat for size, however, and i wonder if the newer versions are any better

With Canon being in the photography business way longer than Casio, I would conclude that Canon makes better cameras. With that being said, I own the SD300 and it takes excellent pictures.

Between those two, easily the Canon. It would be a tighter race if you were comparing the EX-S500 with the SD400.

The S500 definitely has a better movie mode, it has a software anti-shake DSP (not as good as hardware, but better than nothing), and it's noticeably thinner.

Canon will edge it out in photo quality though.

And FYI, the Canon SD400 deal on Dell.com is dead.

Well that sux for those that didn't get in on it. As for me, I ordered the camera right after posting this in the morning before I went to school. I figured that if it wasnt worth the upgrade, I would just cancel the order. But after reading this post, I can clearly see that I made the right decision. LOL. Thanks for all your input guys.
