Casio Atomic Watch

Curious if anyone else having any problems or previous did with their watch receiving a time update. Been about a month and a half since my last receipt, which wouldn't be that be except for that DST thing has thrown my time off.

Anyone have any good suggestions?
 
Auto/Off going from memory.

If ya interested in reading, it's a casio mtg 2638 Google search away from getting the manual sheet.
 
I have a Tag Heuer Automatic watch.

I have to adjust the time manually every few weeks (it loses a little time-maybe a minute) and the date is on a 31 day month so every other month I have to adjust the date.

First world problems...

Mine shows last sync on February 20th. Mine is a 2608.

So yeah, it's been awhile. Not normal.

DST was set to OFF.
 
I had one of those atomic alarm clocks once. Stupid thing never had the right time on it... and I mean it was off 1-2 hours or more.
 
Don't have an atomic clock watch, but I do have two atomic clocks and I've never had to set them for DST. They do it by themselves.

The frequency is 60KHz. That's oppsed to the 2500, 5000, 10000, 15000 and I think 20000 KHz WWV time station the next town over. Can you guess where?

Where are you located though? How often is the watch suppose to update? Can you force a sync? Does the watch tell you signal strength?

Even if you're fairly close, depending on what kind of home you live in and even where in the home the watch is located (while it's trying to update) can give issues. My Citizen watch is atomic, it has very specific instructions for where it should be located and how it should be oriented for best signal. It updates every night and will then tell me the signal strength. I live in Boulder though, so I get a strong signal no matter what.

DST should also be automatic.
 
I am in NC and generally have no trouble getting a sync at least once a week. Yes I can see the signal strength. Basically, I get nothing if the sun is up. Only get the signal at night.

It tries to sync every night when set to AUTO. You can also manually try to sync it.

Casio also has very specific instructions about receiving the signal. Normally I pay no attention to those instructions and get a sync often enough anyway.

I will follow those instructions tonight and see if it syncs overnight.

However, there is a storm front out there.
 
Just checked, been since 2/17 for mine. It's odd as I never recall it being more than 4ish days betwween syncs, and that's without trying to ensure it happens. Now i've made sure it's been sitting in the window for a week at night along with trying a couple dozen manual syncs.
 
I have one & DST never works properly on it either. Time-updates work but are erratic at best, usually every few weeks.

Try taking it outside at night and syncing it, maybe there's something new in your home causing interference.

Or maybe there's just been bad atmospheric conditions recently.

Or maybe the watch is just going bad.

Really hard to say.
