So many pro-bushies here. Why are you on a computer and not in Iraq fighting for this country? Oh, it's because you're cowardly idiots.

Wow, quite possibly the most idiotic thing I have heard today.

You didn't answer my question, but in a way, you did.

First of, I fail to see how your question was directed on me. Secondly, in addition to that simply because somebody thinks this Sheehan lady is a nutjob - and doubly so for not providing a headstone for her fallen son - should not imply that (A) they are pro-Bush and/or (B) in support of the war. Furthermore it is possible that the people posting are indeed in the military, would would invalidate your numbskull weak-sauce attempt at a not-so-clever point. Another side is that even if those two scenarios were correct there are many factors that would inhibit them going to Iraq and fighting such as physical disabilities, age and so forth.

You have made more than a few fallacies by making generalizations without actually knowing anything; and as such, that would indeed make you quite idiotic.

Here is a hint for now and the rest of your life: Attempt to use that mash of grey matter you may call a brain and critically thing about things before you blindly just run your trap and make yourself look like a moron in doing so.

This indeed does make sense when applied to you:

So? What good is a headstone going to do him? He's dead, right? He doesn't really need it.

Well, the US government did cut her a check for $250,000. I'm sure it was assumed that at least some portion of it would go towards burial expenses.

P.S. This is a P&N thread.

net effect of those peoples actions is to embolden those who kill our troops. just a fact. sure if in the fantasy where they suddenly get brought home they are safe, but thats not reality.

Because it proves that she is a lowlife, selfserving whacko who is just using her son but obviously never really loved him. that's why.

We are judged by our actions, and her action (or inaction) speaks volumes.

I'm no fan of Sheehan, I think she's a useless c*nt & that's a word I reserve for the worst of the worst.

Having said that who the hell cares if he has a headstone? It's not like it's going to bring him back.

I think you guys aren't thinking with your head.

I don't like Cindy Sheehan, but I think it's smart of her not to put a headstone on her son's grave yet. It could very possibly be vandalized. She is one of those extreme figures who most people either love or hate and I don't think she wants people to know where her son is buried.

But I don't think any should judge Cindy Sheehan, she lost her son, so she is not in a position to be able to think logically, so you shouldn't judge the things she says or take them seriously. She has some some very extremely stupid things, but I don't expect her to think logically.

It is just repectful and one of those things you do for a passed family member or friend. It dosen't have to be fancy or expensive.

I have seen people in families that have had bitter disputes intentionally block a headstone from being placed as some kind of final insult to the dead person.

It just seemes intensely disrespectful, especially from a woman who has used the memory of her dead son to push her political agenda in such a way.

As much as I hate to say it JLGatsby actually has an intelligent point.

I would hope nobody would hate her enough to desecrate his grave but I wouldn't put it past people.
