Case ?

When you buy a case does it come with the screws to mount the hard drive and floppy? I have just recieved my Antec case and in the manual it states to secure these drives with screws provided (by the case or device?). I have neither, I am using my old hard drive and it just snapped into place in my old case, and there are no screws in the new case. What should I do?

Cases *usually* come with some screws, and so do most components that need them (hard drives, optical drives, etc.) I don't understand what you mean by the hard drive 'snapping into place' (I've seen rail-based systems, but still, you screw the rails onto the drive), but I take it you had some sort of screwless mounting system.

You can buy spare/replacement screws anywhere that sells computer parts (CompUSA is a good choice; a local computer store would probably have them as well).

I`ve always had screws etc supplied with all my cases,normally in a little cardboard box,anyway Matthias99 is right,any good computer store should have all the spare parts you need,or try online stores like here .

I thought antec's are supposed to be toolless? Which Antec case do you have?

Not all of them come with screws for anything but the mobo, I have seen a few that dont. You should have had some when you bought your hardrive unless it was OEM. I guess you'd need to get some. Might as well go with thumbscrews then if you have to buy some.

I found the screws!!! They were in a tiny compartment behind the case, but everything else was in the case. Thanks anyways.

BTW, my older computer had a side mount hard drive case with only one screw and the floppy drive was also only held by one screw.

Just go to some radio shack or hardware store close to you and buy a few screws.
