I'd be afraid to sit in the same room as that thing. Would suck up all the air before I would even have a chance to breathe it :)

Nice mod for fun, but who really needs it? Besides for bragging rights.
Good find.

I can just picture Kyle or someone over at Hardocp posting pictures of their dog, cat, or gerbil suctioned and stuck to the side of the case, hehe

This is the true TOP air flow case on the market 1708 CFM of air flow total

4 top blowholes 120 mm 108 cfm 42 Db each
7 sdie blowholes 120 mm 108 cfm 42 db each

4 front intake 80 mm 50 cfm 41 db each
4 rear exhaust 80 mm 50 cfm 41 db each

2 inside bottom floor 92 mm 60 cfm 39 db each

1708 CFM TOTAL

Yeah! and 868 db!!!!

agentK,

Your formula for the total noise produced by the system is incorrect; it will not give you anything near those numbers. By adding a second fan, you only marginally increase the total noise put out by the system (there was even a discussion about this on the Highly-Technical forum). But of course the thing will sound terrible, and I wouldn't want that in my room, my garage or in a nearby house ;)

uh, how is the worth of that case anywhere near $1200 CDN????

it's a regular lian li w/ blow holes and extra fans...assuming the fans cost an extra $200 CDN (which they don't), and the case costs $200 CDN, they're charging $800 to make blow holes in it and install the fans...or do they even install the fans???

how are they hooking ujp all those fans?...obviously not by mobo fan headers...molex?

it would certainly be funny if there was so much case clutter that it impeded air flow so much the case actually got HOTTER than one, say, 4 fans in it...

that thing is a piece of ugly looking sh1t...and to pay $1200 fro it???...that's simply hilarious

Of course it will not give you that kind of CFM. Fan's output is measured under ideal circumstances, and in that case you may be getting 20% less (or even worse), due to inner turbulance, different presure in different parts of the case, etc.

I would just drill a huge hole in the side of the case and stick a house fan in it.

Hehe. 868 decibles would be strong enough to split the earth in half. More powerful than any nuke :)
