so i had installed windows in my cases a few years back before i got married, but i don't have the tools to do it anymore. with this new watercooled build, i'd like a window.

are there any websites that sell this type of modding stuff that will install it for you if you send them the side pannel (obviously at a cost)?

coolcases.com might do it and I think I've heard that performance-pcs.com does it too. I've also seen a pretty nice oval window kit out there for under $5. + shipping. That plus a nibbler tool (<$10. and a drill to make a 1/4" starter hole (unless there already is one in the area you intend to cut out) is all you need to DIY.

oval and square are boring - heres a pic of my homemade window - sure i had this lasercut - but at that time i wasnt confident of my ability with a dremel or jigsaw - now ill take the project on without having it lasercut - BTW the lasercutting job cost me around the equivalent of $20 ie im in south africa - thats around 150 of our rands
case window

at night with case lighting on

heres what i started with

original case

now as ive said i had it laser cut but ive been practicing with a dremel - and heres a small little something i cut with the dremel for another part of the project

dremel job

not as perfect as the laser cutting - but that still was all a long time ago and ive had enough practice to tackle it and do a decent job of it

i would send my panel in if i was going to get a job like the one below done

man ....... impressive

i dont know whose mod that is - but i saved that pic and it has to be one of the most impressive case windows ive ever seen - just shows you dont need a circle, oval or a square window shape with a kit to get your pc looking good

do you know anyone at an autobody shop?
I drew out a template and a buddy used his plasma cutter to cut through the steel like butter.
He also carved out a perfect vent/blowhole and painted the case with automobile paint all for $50.
