get aluminum by all means if it fits your budget. i got the antec SX830 $59 shipped from EMS computing... (BTW they are the worst vendor i ever dealt with) . my friend has an aluminum chieftec that has the same style. aluminum case is so much easier to hual around and put into a car!
the lian li pc 60... it looks OK. IMO a little nerdy. maybe a little to big? 12 drive bays? 5 hidden??? big cases are good for airflow but terrible for ill-designed mobo's
for exmaple: my SX830 is a little too big and my mobo's IDE plugs are position kinda low. the IDE cable has to touch the stick of memory and all streched up in order to connect to my CDRW. no damage is done but i don't really feel good about that
for $138 with no PS, i would get either:
chieftec DH-01B with 450W foxconn PS for $69 shipped (8 bays kinda small)
chieftec aluminum server case with same PS for $99 shipped
IMO antec/chieftec are of excellent values. especially the antec that comes with all the nice antec PS and fans...
you just wandered into a group of antec/chieftec freeks 😀
* almost forgot yeah the lian li is cool for AMD, as almost EVERY case that newegg sells. beware of the PS selection though. a quality 300W (again, i really like antec PS) should do you good but 400W leaves some breathing room. brand is more important than voltage rating that the manufacturer claims
