Hello all. I am gonna be building a new gaming rig for xmas. It's gonna have a Winchester 939 3200+ A64 so I will definately be OC'ing it. Well, anyway, I have all of my parts selected except for the case. I will need something with good cooling but not too pricey. ($150 at the most [not including tax or S&H]). Also, I am a first time builder, so keep that in mind. I was looking at the Thermaltake Xaser V "V6000a". It looks like everything I need.

-Lots of room
-Good cooling
-All aluminum (I prefer aluminum)
-Built in fan controller and LCD temp display
-Side window

I don't care about guadiness/flashiness either. The only problem that concerns me is the wiring for the fan/temp controller unit. Will I be able to handle it if I'm a first time builder? If not, are there any other suggestions? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Oh, and don't worry. If you can put all of your hardware together, you shouldn't have a problem hooking up a fan controller.......:)

the Lian Li PC-65/65B comes with 4 80mm fans, i have the case its very nice
the Silverstone mid and full towers are also very nice, they typically use 2 120mm case fans for cooling

the Lian Li PC V1000B is an amazing case, 2 120mm fans, freflow design, mobo mounted upside down for better cooling
it costs more then you wanna spend tho

Yea, I agree about the Stacker. But hey what can I say, I like the Xaser V Damier. I guess we all have our own opinions. Well, I think I may be getting the PC-65. Also, what is required to add a cold cathode kit? I'm thinking about adding a blue one...

Stacker.

that thing is so ugly and over priced

I agree it may be a bit pricey, but I don't mind the looks at all. My main concern is the cooling, and I doubt anything can out cool the stacker if you use the right fans.

Well, I think I'll be getting a PC-65 (silver), a blue cold cathode kit, an enermax fan controller/temp monitor with blue LCD, and a Vantec blue LED 80mm fan for the blowhole. I think that will look pretty good. What about y'all?

I'm deciding between the Lian Li PC60 and the (cheaper) CoolerMaster Centurion 5 which appeals more to me visually but doesn't have the kind of rock solid reviews as the PC60.

What do you guys think?

Most people would tell you Lian Li. I would probably agree but don't use me to sway your opinion, for I have never owned a Lian Li. From what I hear though, they make the best cases.
