So one of my friends saw what i wsa doing with my case (putting a window in a hole i cut out). he has a dell case with a plastic side with aluminum on the inside attached by random plastic pieces. Is that aluminum important or can we cut a hole right through it, or even remove it? He just wants a cool case but i dont know if his stock dell parts would all fit into a regular windowed case that i could buy online....

quite obviously you should make sure that it's out of warrenty. since it seems a little bit more complicated, i wouldn't suggest it. but maybe buying him a premodded case and moving everything to the new case.

Yeah make sure it's an old Dell that's out of warranty frist before you start slicing up the case.
