Hi Everyone,

I'm looking for a case recommendation for a system that I am putting together for myself, and I would like to place the order this weekend.

Asrock X58 Extreme
i7 920
MSI GTX275 TwinFrozr
Vigor Monsoon
Corsair 750TX

Basically I want a cheap case. I was looking at the CoolerMaster Centurion 534, but I want to be sure everything will fit in it easily.

thats the least expensive recommendation huh? Okay, I was hoping that was the one thing I could cheap out on. Well then again, after everything else, whats $40 right?

Thanks for the recommendation. I was just checking it out on Newegg, and the reviews are pretty good. Looks like my order is complete now.

Actually, the more I look at it, the more I like it. Now I just wish the lot was here already so I could get building.

I bought a Lian Li PC-A20 for almost 3 times as much and I like my Black Pearl about equally, infact i've tossed around ideas of getting another to cut into for a h20 setup 😀
 
I've got a Lian Li V1000BW...just a minature version of the Black Pearl.
I've tried several cases since i've had this one & I always end up reselling them & going back to the Lian Li...it's just that good of a case!
You'll be happy you spent the extra for it!
After you get it, you might want to order some wheels for it...specifically the WB-01.
It'll make moving that monster alot easier after you get it loaded up. 🙂
 
wow, that is funny. Sorry, I'm a total noob at building (not at computing) and that caught me by surprise. Wheels for the computer, hahah, should make neons for the wheels to match the cooling fans.

The coolermaster 590 or 690 should fit your needs nicely if your on a budget or the antec 300? But these i7 are hotcakes so a good airflow case is must imo if your running a i7.
 
The 690 isn't that much cheaper than the Black Pearl.
I used to have a 690 & the quality of it compared to a Lian Li isn't even close.
It's a decent case, yeah, but for the extra $20-30 i'd take a Lian Li any day.
 
Hey Everybody, I bought the Black Pearl, and I love it. I admit its the first case I've bought but everything seems well thought out, well put together, high quality, and lots of everything. In other words, thanks for the recommendation.

One single problem, the front panel Power LED cable has a 3 pin connector with the dummy in the middle, and my MB's (ASrock X58 Extreme) header is set up for a 2 pin connector. Can I just clip the 3 pin connector and put on a 2 pin, since the LED only uses 2 pins as it is?

Oh yeah, the rear case cooling fan looked like it was going to interfere with the flow from the Vigor Monsoon (they were basically back to back) so I removed it. I am planning on putting it on the top of the cast to help out the GPU. Is push or pull better at the top of the case?
