ok i really want to do my first case mod because my entire computer is getting way to hot. the thing is i have no clue where to start. i dont know what tools to use or how to measure where to cut or where to buy the grills filters and fans. please help i dont really care how "cool" my case looks but i do care how cool it runs what are the best ways to accomplish the complete cooling of my computer case

If you want access to some instant how-tos and also a whole database of pics of other people's mods (gives you good ideas plus you can drool at the same time... 😉), check out VirtualHideout.

🙂

Also check 2cooltek. You see step-by-step examples of some case mods he has done. It's also a great source for cooling-related items.

i'm gonna also mod my case soon, and justy remember the golden rule:

MEASURE TWICE, CUT ONCE

just follow this and you will be OK.

as for tools, a Dremel is a good thing to use, because they can cut small things accurately and easily.

I'll second that about Dremel. Its the only tool I use, besides a drill, for modding cases. I can cut nice round holes, any size, without problems. IMHO the greatest tool ever for the case modder in everyone!
