Case-Mod.com - Thermalright ALX-800 - Socket A $9.99 - Sold Out

FLAMING! You can't beat the price-performance ratio on this one. Almost as good as the SLK-800, but for less than half the price. This doesn't come with a fan guys, so make sure you pick up a decent 80mm fan (eg. Panaflow H1A).
 
I have one of these cooling a XP-M2400+ and it does a fine job with a 40+ cfm fan. I second the Panaflo H1A 80mm as the fan of choice since it's fairly quiet and moves a lot of air. 🙂
 
Jab-tech had this on sale for $12.95 and I was thinking about buying it there, then I saw this price. A three dollar savings! Thanks OP for the deal.
 
FYI, I just got off the phone with someone @ Case-Mod.... They only had about a 114 to start with, & that was last night, when they sent out an e-Mail to clients/customers.
He said they'll be getting more in next week..... But ( & a BIG YMMV ) they don't know if they'll be @ the same price? depends on if they get the same kind of a deal?
BTW.... I missed by just a couple of minutes... I was on around 10:30 this morning, when I logged on it wasn't sold out yet.... But it was by the time I finished orderin'.... Dag nab it!!!!!!!!!!!!

FWIW. If you're interested in more than one of these? Say Three. I went with Nasdaqtrader889's lead @ Jab-Tech.com. (Thanks BTW).They have them there for $12.95 in stock. Granted three $ more. But when I ordered three the shipping doesn't go up much more than if you order one or two. S/H is $7.25 for the three Total $46.10 \ 3 = $15.36. With UPS Ground Which makes it about .83 cents more than the Case-Mod Deal. based on what Jpeyton paid.
Jpeyton paid $14.54 w/priority mail for one.
Considering Case-Mod.com is OOS! I think this a way to still get in on a Hot Deal

Interesting that it doesn't come up in any of the other reviews. Fastlane gives it a 10 out of 10. Gruntville gives it a 91 out of 100. Overall excellent reviews! Sorry review #3 is on the last page of the review. My Bad!

REDRAIN, they don't think the heatsink is too loud(it's just a hunk of metal), the fan that accompanied their sample was. This heatsink ships by itself, which allows you add the fan of your choosing.🙂

I might go have a look at Jab, & see if I'm tempted enough.
