I'm looking to build an MP3 player. Not the portable kind, mind you. Something along the lines of a Dell Home Audio player or something. I want something that will be at home with my other audio equipment (as an aside: why doesn't Sony make a MP3 CD version of their Jukeboxes? They make a DVD version. It'd sell like hotcakes).
So, I'd want a 1U or 2U rack case, or something along the lines of a bookPC. It doesn't have to actually BE rackmountable, since it'll probably go on a shelf someplace. Here's the kicker though, it'd need to have the folowing:
1. Sound card support. Either room for a standard PCI sound card, or a coax digital out. If this is real stereo equipment, no sense in using 1/8 inch jacks. Gotta plug it into my Denon 3801 the right way!
2. Video out. So you can enqueue MP3s using the TV.
3. Support for a wireless keyboard. (this shouldn't be a problem).
4. Network capabilities.
Does anyone know of a case/mobo that can do this? I've been looking for quite some time with no luck. The kicker seems to be the audio output. Any help would be appreciated.
