Case front audio is in reverse stereo

I've checked the connection and installed newer drivers. The only other thing I can think of is that the cable itself has reversed wires. My onboard audio is the Realtek 888S codec and I am using the HD audio cable. This happens under Windows and Linux. This isn't a big deal since I'd rather use the 3.5mm jack on my speakers anyways but I'm just perplexed as to why it's doing this.

Obviously it is wired in reverse. Good stereo amps have a switch that can do this back and forth. If it bothers you - swap your speakers or rewire the front sp[eaker port.
