Case for keeping 9800GTX+ cool

I Have Computer

Junior Member
Hi I need an inexpensive case with very good airflow. Under €100 (£87) including shipping to Republic of Ireland.

It must be cool enough to handle a 9800GTX+ in a room that can get hot sometimes.

It also must have good dust resistance like filters or whatever else can help.

Are these good?

If you go with a positive pressure fan orientation (on the 300: front intake, top intake, rear exhaust), you can get very good cooling performance and keep the dust out.

As for the Mobo and CPU, if that is what you currently have, then sure, it is fine. If you are looking to buy new, you should be looking at the newer platforms (AMD AM3 and Intel 1156/1366).

I am buying new, on a budget, except my sound card and 9800GTX+.

Is the Intel I3-560 a good processor for the 9800GTX+? Also is this a good motherboard?

This. The C2D processor and P31-chipset motherboard are old and not recommended purchases for a new build. Depending on your budget, look at AM3 or 1156 socket CPU/motherboard combinations.

I posted a reply yesterday and it was not accepted.

Anyway is this a good combination:

Intel I3-530 processor
Gigabyte GA-H55-UD3H
motherboard

That mobo is pretty basic, but it will do nicely if you don't have any special requirements.
Cool. Thank you for all our help.

What would these special requirements be? My requirement for the computer is high performance/graphics gaming at 1920x1200.

I'm thinking he's alluding to, if you are gonna be overclocking/folding 24x7/computing task that takes a long time @ 100% CPU usage.

Otherwise that board will be alright for high graphics gaming/high performance (assuming you mean photo/video rendering)

Yep, that's what I meant.
