Does anyone make a case like the old otter box commuter case I had on my iPad 3rd gen? I'm looking for a case that is minimal not a TPU case . But something for 50$ or so. I have been looking for weeks on Amazon eBay ect.. I can't find anything that's not thick and not a folio with the cover.

Thanks for your help. I wish spigen or element case made something for the air 2

Are you assuming "TPU == clear?"

Some of my favorite cases have been made of Incipio's "NGP" (really TPU) material in black.

iPod touch 5th gen - Incipio Frequency
Absolutely perfect all around. Very slim. Buttons had perfect, responsive, clicky tactile feedback.

iPhone 5c - Incipio NGP
Nice. Functional. Buttons feel good (not perfect).

iPhone 5/5s - Belkin Grip Candy Sheer
Perfect. The black/green color combination was way nicer than I thought it would be.

iPhone 6 Plus - Incipio NGP black
Perfect except that I had to use a razor blade to make invisible cuts beside the volume and lock buttons so they had good tactile feedback.

iPad mini - Incipio NGP
Perfect except that I had to use a razor blade to make invisible cuts beside the volume and lock buttons so they had good tactile feedback.

iPad mini 2 - Incipio NGP
(revised for slightly increased thickness of new mini 2 and extra microphone cutout)
Perfect except that I had to use a razor blade to make invisible cuts beside the volume and lock buttons so they had good tactile feedback.

All of these are TPU, feel great, and wear nicely.
