I ordered 6 - for 6$ - shipping was 6.50 to Ca., I got 4x 80mm,1x 120mm, and 1x old pentium heatsink+fan. They all look new and work great - all 3 wire - 12v, the 120mm is about 2" thick!! What a deal - this will keep me in fans for a long time
From website:
Fanarama
12 pallets of fans just arrived. Most are 12 volts, and range in size from 3-1/8" to 4-5/8". These fans were replaced on servers with either bigger or smaller fans. According to the company that replaced them, most have less than 48 hours operating time.

The original thread for this deal has been archived.

Can anyone link it here?

I wanted to re-read some of the comments, I got my fans today.

They archive stuff too fast around here and have no "archive" forum to go into to find these threads, or a function in the search.

I bought 20 of those fans and got mostly 60mm and 80mm (one 92mm). I think most are ball bearing. Okay deal to me.

Edit: Oh yeah, I got two fans with bad wires and B.G. Micro responded very quickly to send me two more with good wires. Seems like great customer service to me.

hi

i need just two fans for a new system i am trying to build (first timer ). i will end up buying the minimum 3 (for $10) and might not get 2 80mm that i need. would anyone be interested in selling me 2 80mm fans out of the so many you all are buying?

PM me or email me.

TIA.

I've bought over 20 of these "fanarama" case fans,
and although they are good quality, at least
half have quite short lead wires--too short to
even connect to the MB, if one unwisely chose
to do so. So, unlike standard $4-6 fans which
come with 4-pin plugs, using these a person must
calculate the cost of extensions, and adapters
before marveling at the $1.00 bargain.
Any suggestions to bargains on the wiring would
be appreciated, thanks.

I had some old socket 7 HSF that had the 4 wire plugs that no longer worked so I took them and soldered them onto the ends of my Fanorama fans and use heatshrink to cover the job. So my cost to convert would be a few pennys for the heatshrink.

I got in on this same deal only got one little tiny 80mm fan all the rest were 92mm and 120mm..
i like the 120 but i have absolutely NO WHERE to install it heheehe... maybe a blowhole when i get my sx1030 anyone needing 92mm and have 80mm i'd do a straight trade from california :)

BG seems to be a very good company.

offer subject to limited availability
not good in all areas coupon actual value 1/100th of a cent
must have 10 positive heatware evals or be subjected to ship first syndrome :)

If the leads aren't long enough, then you might want to build a fanbus (or have one built). Here is a link to Cliff's Fanbus, a site which gives general info on how to build fanbus' as well as takes orders for ready-made ones.
