Case Fans and Windows install with SATA HDs

I have a ThermalTake Xaser III V1000D case and all of my pre-installed case fans aren't running. I have them all connected to the PSU but they still don't work. Any suggestions on how I could correct this problem. On the same note, which temp should I blieve for my CPU, the one on the Bios, or the sensor for the front pannel fan control?

Finally I have 2 SATA HDs Maxtor, and I am trying to install Windows 2K but everytime that I try, Windows says that it cannot find and HD on my system? Any thoughts on how I could fix that problem as well would be great.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Did you install the sata drivers before windows? W2K won't have built in drivers for sata since sata came out after W2K. Does the drives show up in the bios? Tried turning the knobs to adjust the fan speed.

in the initial boot up the computer says that it sees the 2 HD, however, it doesnt show them in the bios, and i have tried turing the knobs and it doenst do anything

In the IDE area of the BIOS change the drive type to AUTO and it will check, right then, to see if you have a new drive and then the AUTO should change to the Modal #. Where is the temp sensor wire end, between the CPU and Heatsink?

The Sensor on the front panel will be more accurate if you have the sensor installed correctly, under the CPU between the rows of pins taped to the bottom of the PC.
You need to supply the Thermaltake LCD with one dedicated line In to the Power connector.

If one or more fans are connected in series connect to pin 2 or 3 only. Do not overload pin 1 and 4 only 1 fan goes on these.
I have that case and it is a little confusing to hookup.
Read the manual a couple of times before you proceed.
If you don't have a manual you can dowload it from Thermaltakes sight. Here

For SATA, you need to have the drivers on a floppy and press F6 when the Windows installer loads and load the SATA driver as a RAID/SCSI device.
