In general, does setting the PWM signal to 0V or 0% duty cycle turn off the Fans or does it set it to a minimum speed?

There's no guarantee what will happen since the PWM fan spec doesn't specify how fans should respond below 20% duty cycle.

Some fans will stick to a minimum speed setting, other fans will shut off.

0% duty cycle on PWM means no voltage pulse = 0V RMS, and no voltage = no power.

PWM for fans does not actually power the fans. It is simply a control signal.

yeah, just realized that. forgot that normal pwm dc is just 2 pins + possibly an rpm while computer pwm is 2 pins + rpm + pwm

I'm a moron

Hi, I'm kind of new at this, and Eng is not my first language. So please excuse my English.

I would like to know if its possible to control/moniter/see ( the RPMs ) from both places such as from BIOS/Fan Controller/Thermal Radar, and/or from the Fan controller at the same time. Because if i do not get the NZXT Lxe my desktop is under the table and it is difficult for me to reach down or look at the temps, i rather have it on my monitor in the software. I want to be able to moniter the Rpm of the fan on both my pc and the fan controller display.

PCI slot fans are useless IMHO. And the NZXT fan controller kinda sucks (or so I've heard)
