NinjaKaren: # of posts=2 :D:D:D Giving Karen the benefit of the doubt, I hope this is a killer deal for her.
(Now, if this were say Rossman...we'd all be reaching into the back pocket.)

i just bought a DFI Lanparty UT Ultra-D + X2 3800+ Toledo JH-E6, at monarch for $478; probably not even luke warm, but it overclocks well 2.4G @1.4v (48hour cpu burn-in utility). also bought some ocz platinum 2gb ram ($30 rebate) from them = rocks. free copy of HL2. (farcry and napster are no longer avaliable, but they have a deal on one of their 7800GTX that you get BF2) I live in GA, so i paid tax... but i picked it up same day from them. I ran into a problem at first, but their technical support helped with a bios setting that i never heard of (DFI has some insane settings for bios)

i can probably push this cpu up to 2.7G if i volt it to 1.6. It posted at 3Ghz, windows wouldn't load though.

of course, I agree RideFree, caveat emptor.

but, I found this deal on pricewatch, and they have decent rating there. (I want to say something like 86% satisfaction.) so I figured I'd give it a chance.

I've been lurking here a while, just never had anything too worthwhile to say.

I guess, take it as you will.

fry's has ga-k8n pro with 4400 x2 for $600 this weekend.
that's legit (i mean, doesn't work if you don't have a fry's nearby though)
