Case blow out at TigerDirect: DEAD

Nice. I had them in my cart and ordered a few hours after my co-worker said they were no longer available.

Picked one up from Naperville TD as well. The guy there looked it up on the computer and it was showing that TD's cost for the case was over $82 so this looks like a pretty sweet deal. Anyone find any reviews for this case?

Alright another Napervilian! Yeah the Open Box version of the case is $82...but I got mine(like everyone else) for $20. Not bad. Was $120.

It states the following at the bottom, "THIS ITEM IS AN OPEN BOX ITEM:" and I also noticed that in my order staus/track, it now says " Returns NOT Accepted"

I am now getting a bit suspicious because it did not say this when I placed my order, and I am considering canceling my order in fear of getting some beat up half ass case in light of this new info.

It wouldnt surprise me to see TD doing something like this to offload broken up crap.

Mine shipped today, after ordering late last night when shipping estimate slipped to 7-11 days. Order status shows return option is available for the two cases I'd bought, but not for the OEM Athlon64 3400 ($50 AR, purchased without a heatsink on the order). Looking forward to getting them on Tuesday. Hope UPS doesn't beat them up in transit.

I realize the "new" cases are sold out, but like I said, I wouldnt put it past TD to try to pull the switch to off load crap. Maybe I am just being overly wary.

Haha they'll probably ship you the broken one that I returned to them a few days ago(I llive right by the store)

Oh God that case supports lots of fans...if you can find a place to put them all. They have 3 brackets installed on the case...but you can have the number of fans your mobo supports+5 from the connectors on the case

Yes the 90mm goes in the rear, one 80mm goes on top, another 80mm goes in very front(where the filter is) The other ones you just put wherever if you can

I also used my l33t skills to put a fan on the side panel. Too bad theres no bracket there to hold the fan in. But its easy without one too.

my castek case looks awesome. It's super light, yet looks durable enough for what I will be using it for. I ordered it on the 11th and received it the 13th. Not bad for $30 shipped.

After most of my morning spent with TD CS reps and on hold, nothing has been resolved and I still dont have a refund. Futhermore, I was told that the refund will happen when it happens and thats it, deal with it. Nice TigerDirect...real nice:roll:

I was also told that they will no longer be stocking these cases and will not be ordering any more, not even to compensate for what was originally tagged as "backordered."

If anyone else here has troubles regarding this case or their order and such, please take the time to leave a rating here.

I paid with paypal. I requested my money back through paypal and they issued me a refund in an hour or so.. I guess it's safer to pay through pp then when anything else while dealing with td..

And if you received your case in good condition and in a timely manner, I would expect you to leave a positive review as well. Something more people don't do. Seems like end users only have something to say when it's bitching and moaning.


MX2times: I don't get it. First you were skeptical because the website showed that they ran out of cases and then feared that they would send you one of the open box units as a replacement. Then you're ticked off because they cancelled the order. If you're going to be so paranoid, why bother in the first place?

And AFAIK, when you pay with Paypal, it takes 48 hours for a cancelled order to show as a credit on your Paypal statement unless you do as NateX suggested. That's Paypal, not NateX. You'll notice the same thing when you use a Paypal credit card and pay for eating out or pay at the pump transactions.

I got my case today but haven't had time to open it up - though the shipping carton looks to be new and in perfect shape. Anyone have any opinion how this case stacks up to an Antec Lanboy?
