welcome.

too many answers to list all of them.

I've been pimping out antec cases all day; i might as well not stop now.

do you need a case (if so purpose?) or are you just curious?

I have an InWin Q500A, but it's showing it's age. It doesn't have a lot of fan bays, and the PSU placement is bad. I've had it since 1996 though, and it's indestructable.

aluminum chenming cases are good, but bulky.

also shuttle XPC is good

and the evercase at newegg isn't bad at all for a budge case

:D HAHA!

Well, I'm am buying a new case, but I've got my heart set on the Lian-Li PC-76 for months now. I need a really roomy case and the PC-76 was the roomiest one I could find. Not exactly the cheapest though since so far I've found is selling for $318!!!! But hey it sure is the widest one. The fact that you can put up to 12 hard drives!!!(*note-most of my bandwidth goes to downloading tv show from the states, since I live in the Phlippines and am not really fond of local tv here.) really gets me going. ;)

The other reason is that my brother and I plan to seriously mod the PC-76 with this neat little dremil he used on is PC-60. Can't really put a vapochill (even with that kind of space) though because I'm afraid of the possiblity of condensation, being that we live in the philippines and all. We plan to add 4 more fans to the 6 that it already comes with and add a fan bus similar to the one he made for his case. That and we plan to put 2 windows. One on the left side and one on the right side. The one thing were trying to figure out is how to replace the mobo tray with plexiglass. Seems a little dangerous for such an expensive case but it would look pretty DARN cool with a window on the right side and a few cold cathode lights!

I was just curious on the peoples case preference here. And people on this forum are pretty darn knowledgable from what I've read. I really like the honest feedback you people give here.

Thanks for your input so far! Keep 'em coming :)

12 hard drives? if i didn't bother with floppy or CD i could fit 10 in the bays in my antec... i bet i could cable tie a few more in if i wanted.

CD burner is your friend

HAHAHA! True true!, so far though my 2 120GBs are fine. I plan to get the Sony DRU500A DVD-RW+RW burner for that.;);)

But I also plan to burn DV home movies as well as compile the tv shows by season to DVD. Yippee! I'd still like to share my download library with the Kazaa Lite to community to promote better sharing (which is in fact a more selfish point of view since it would help me download better).

I still like the fact of being able to add more hard drives as the need arises and most cases just won't cut, though your antec sounds promising. Which model is it?

Oh! I forgot to mention the PC-76 also has 2 floppy drive bays and a whooping 6 5 1/4 !!!
Hmmm.... 1 Sony DRU500A, 1 Plextor DVD/CDRW combo9or maybe samsung since it has an 8MB cache, 2 hard drive coolers for Ultra SCSI 320, on Kenwood CD-ROM drive ( day to day workhorse stuff) and space to place an fan bus and sliders to adjust the fan speed!

Look at Antecs SOHO 1030/1040 cases and the like. There are several brands, but they are all made by Chemming(I believe)

Antec, Chemming, Enermax, Thermotake, Chieftech are a few of the larger case resellers of these cases.

I just built my system using a Kingwin All-Aluminum KT-436 Silver case. Thumbscrews, three windows, badass ccfl effect on the space around the drive bays, pull out mobo tray. Only weakness is the front panel cables (USB and Firewire) run through the bottom of the case. I solved that by taking them out since I'm not going to use them anyway. Set me back about $160 plus $15 shipping at Newegg.

LOL. This is the case that my overpriced $2000 computer came in three years ago. Matter of fact, as I'm writing this, I'm putting a computer together for my mother using this case. Kinda small but the price ($0) was just right.

I use a Lian Li PC-60 - hopefully with mods soon.

BTW, good to see a fellow pinoy here! Although I live in Michigan...:)
