Jesus, Casablanca and it's not even remotely close. I mean, it's hard for me to imagine the torture of having to re-watch Gone With The Wind again, but Casablanca is freaking amazing.

As for the poll, I voted Citizen Kane because it's better than either of the other ones.

Maybe time for a Casablanca remake with Will Ferrell as Rick and Fergie as Ilsa.

I hate Gone With The Wind with the passion of a thousand fiery suns.

my sister was obsessed with it when we were kids and watched it pretty much every day after school on the only tv we had.

LOL at old dudes talking about movies no one under 40 has watched!
You haven't? Here's a spoiler:

I have to go with:
Citizen Kane
Casablanca
Gone With the Wind

Tough to really pick between the top 2 as they are both great movies.

Maybe in 1945...

I watched Casablanca for the first time just a couple of years ago and it is indeed still awesome. I've re-watched it once again since then and also bought the giant anniversary set. Great movie.

Casablanca for sure. But do watch all of them at some point.

I had seen all of these at least once by the time I was 19. I'm still younger than 40.

Just because you are proudly vacant of culture, don't bring the rest of us down to your miserable level.

I'm 35. I saw all of these before I was 20.

Why are you both stupid and lame?

Wow. Lot of grumpy old men here! (and Shorty)

I'm a lot older than you Shorty (and probably a few more of you), and I grew up on these movies back when we only had three channels and they all stopped broadcasting after Carson was over. I've seen them all (over & over & over). But as years go past, the become less relevant to all but film buffs.

Bergman does nothing for me. She's no Hedy Lamarr

I watched each one of those movies once and never did I get the feeling "gee golly gosh, I can't wait to buy the physical media of this so I can watch it over and over again!"

Besides, if you're going to copy AFI's list, you should at least include the Godfather.

Casablanca by far. Don't know of any other movie quoted more than this either. Of course I am a big fan of Bogie (not just this movie), but always nice to see posters in agreement.

I picked up the remastered bluray of Casablanca at Target for $15 a while back. I've watched it several times. The sound and video quality is just amazing for a seventy year old movie.
