ok .. what is this CAS2 and CAS3 when speaking about RAM. Oh boy do i feel dumb asking this, i have a feeling the answer is soo obvious :)

Memory is laid out like a spreadsheet. CAS stands for columb (sp?)access strobe. There is also a RAS, or row access strobe.

In case it isn't clear, Cas-2 is better but sometimes the ram will overclock (run at a higher FSB) better at cas-3. That is about all I know.

It'll prevent you from reaching higher MHz speed. For some RAM, a bit of stability will be lost, but higher quality RAMs dont have that problem.
