CAS??? Latency??? etc???

Are there any sites where I can get info and a explaination of what cas and Latency is in regards to ram???
I am still operating in the ole days of edo 70ns ram on my pc.
Going to build and am finding that I am about 4 years behind in the pc world here!!!
Would appreciate any and all info!

One thing, a lot of people on this and other forums are all tied up with CAS 2. I dont think anyone will see any difference unless they are running real memory intensive programs such a video or intensive photo editing.
