Cas??? Latency??? etc???

Are there any sites where I can get info and a explaination of what cas and Latency is in regards to ram???
I am still operating in the ole days of edo 70ns ram on my pc.
Going to build and am finding that I am about 4 years behind in the pc world here!!! 😱
Would appreciate any and all info!

does your computer use dimm memory? if not then you need to get there. i'm an old rookie too. all the froofroo about cas and latency doesn't much matter if your not into games or "mission critical situation". but it wont hurt to follow these guys advice on what memory to get, seeing as it is not that expensive of an upgrade. but you dont need ECC memory. use 3.3 unbuffered. i've got the tinybga happening now and so far so good. good luck.
