I didnt know there was so much information about RAM. I thought it was just the amount of RAM, the type (SDRAM, SIMM, DIMM), and the speed (PC100, 133, 155). If there is more information then this can someone take a sec to explain? Now Im hearing about cas2 and 7ns and stuff. Someone share please.:D

7 ns is nanoseconds. 7 nanoseconds of what? Access time, maybe? I know someone else will let know you. I dunno what the CAS 2 and 3 are...I want to know too :)

ns refers to Dram timing. If you have 7.5ns or lower you should be able to use "turbo" mode for Dram timing in your CMOS. Among CAS timings there are two options 2, or 3. 2 is faster and is also and option in your Cmos. Some Cas3 ram will run at cas2 but may not be as stable. Also, overclocking the FSB can limit your ability to run it at cas2.

1000(1 ms) / 133(memory frequency) == 7.5ns, 7ns is 143, 8ns is 125, 10ns is 100. CAS latency is the amount of cycles it takes to initiate data access, so take the "(x)ns" and times by CAS latency for minimum time to start a stream of data.
