Maybe it's true, maybe it's just PR spin...we'll see.

Seems like the doctor was speculating nad scared people, probably back peedling.

I think it was more of a case "This was a horrible injury, the worst possible case, yet I still fixed him, I'm God!"

Carson Palmer's knee injury was "devastating and potentially career-ending," involving numerous ligament tears, a shredded ligament, damaged cartilage and a dislocated kneecap, his surgeon said Thursday. I would imagine the quotations would be coming straight from the doctor, which is a fair assumption, wouldn't you say?
That doesn't say his career may be over. Read every other single thing he said in the article. Like the stuff all indicating he expects Palmer back as soon as the start of the season. But I already told you to do that, and you obviously ignored it.

I didn't feel like starting in on this with my other post, but I suspect this is a surgeon's ego on display, as Argo is alluding to. "Look at what a horrible injury, in the hands of someone lesser it might have ended his career. Good thing I was doing the surgery, look at the great repair job I did." Somebody chose to misinterpret the overall tone of the interview and make a headline.

It was a deliberate hit.

He got knocked over by a Cinci player and looked up while he was going down.
I wasn't trolling at all. The hit was late and illegal.

Expect a ban for personal attack.

It's been removed. Please accept my apology.

He only tore 2 ligaments in the knee. Culpepper tore 3 ligaments in the knee. They are both coming back.

a much smaller percentage of his total contract is guaranteed, unlike in the NBA where the entire thing would have been guaranteed.
He got a 14 million dollar signing bonus in 2003.....plus what he's made since then, plus whatever he got for extending his contract recently.

If he wasn't already set for life BEFORE this season, then he doesn't deserve another dime.

But believe me, he is set.

Easy, happens all the time in football.

And wouldn't the prospect of Palmer bringing the Bengals BACK to the "promised land" really require that they, at some point, had already BEEN to the "promised land"?
Such as winning a Super Bowl?
