Only 24k because my commute is rather short. The main problems I've heard with the Passat are MAF failures and ocassionaly O2 sensor failures. My MAF did actually fail recently but it was replaced for free by the dealership (VW extended their warranty on MAF on all cars to 70k miles). I don't expect anymore issues, but I will have a VAG-COM handy to diagnose any engine codes soon.

You just wait another 20K-30K miles.

Recently switched from a '98 Toyota 4Runner to a '93.5 Toyota Supra. The 4Runner was great. Very reliable, a lot of fun off-road, and pretty quick with the trd supercharger. The supra doesn't have an engine right now lol

edit: Toyota the best, can't beat japanese reliability 😉

Presently have a 1999 Honda Accord 4 dr EX drk grn w/ 5 spd manual trans w/ 138K miles.

I have liked and had Honda Accords since 1970, but most recent version is getting too big and looks a bloaty, IMHO.
I like the Acura TSX, but it's a little pricey, but has great interior. The new Nissa Maxima looks nice and the G35 Infinity is also a great auto. Read that they're coming out w/ new interior on G35 in 2005.

I like Hondas so much I may wait & see what the next version of the Civic looks like.
