I am talking stock, I would say any of the econocars such as a Civic etc. A guy at work has a 350Z and you would think it was a Lambo the way he goes on about it. I drive a slow econocar(Focus) and on a Focus site I go on to get help, all the people think the Focus is fast-LOL

fast is what you make of it... slow cars are more fun to drive fast than fast cars are..

i believe the saying is actually

It is more fun to drive a slow car fast, than a fast car slow.

When I finally obtained a "fast" car I learned that first hand. My first car was a CRX with an engine swap. Tons of fun to drive and easy to drive at the limit.

Sold the CRX and now I own an Evo VIII and it's frustrating to drive on the street because it has so much power I can't use. I also have a Miata as my dd/beater and it's a blast to drive around town and toss around corners.

And to answer the original question - I agree with the Scion TC as there was a two-fatality crash behind my house a month or so ago (driver and passenger) because the kid was flying down a busy street and lost control.

And then you have the V6 Mustang drivers that couldn't afford the V8 who have to drive around at unsafe speeds to feel like they have a powerful car.

Scion is probably perfect. I knew a girl who thought that her Nissan xterra 4 cylinder was faster than my MAXIMA. LAWLS, NO WAY HONEY THAT CAR IS FAST LIKE NOTHING ELSE.

People with fart cans on their neons think their car is fast.
It is more fun to drive a slow car fast, than a fast car slow.
Makes sense, it's safer, too. I have a lot more fun in the snow, where the equivalent performance of my car sucks, than on dry pavement. I used to like my 93 sentra because I could run it near its full ability without the po-po getting upset, something somebody in an m3 cannot do.

Anybody with substantially less power than what you have...
I have an Audi S4. So anyone with much less than 340hp is slow.
If I had a 600hp AMG, then anyone with much less than 600 hp would be slow.

However, I disagree with the "more power is better" argument. Instead, I agree with Mikemike: It is more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow.

Call me crazy, but I just can't comprehend people who want more than like ~250hp. Unless you are going to spend time at the track, you simply cannot use the full throttle in a car with too much power. My S4 is way over-powered and therefore, IMO, not much fun to drive. Thinking of getting a Mazda 5. Bigger. MUCH MUCH slower. And I suspect - I'll enjoy it more.

You should hear some of the owners. They actually believe these things are fast. All GM vehicles are slow and boring.

The Camaro and GTO aren't particularly quick stock, but Z06 and ZR1 are hella fast out of the box, there are only a handful of production vehicles on earth that are quicker, and they are almost invariably much more expensive. Even the base Vette can turn damn near flat 4s 0-60 with a good driver.

The only things fast about them are their decline in resale value.

Are you just trolling or what? :)

Yep, Vettes are slugs.

Oh, and they aren't collectible after passing the 25 year mark either I suppose.

My truck used to be fast for a truck. So I didn't consider any car to be fast unless it could beat my truck. (15.50@90MPH) Now there are many trucks that can beat mine so it's just kinda above average. But it's still fun to torture rear tires in. :)

I was simply stating facts.

Heh, well, it's your opinion, and I bet you are virtually alone in thinking that Vettes aren't fast. Hell, the ZR-1 is one of the fastest production vehicles of all time.

Heh, I drive a Focus as well, the '08 Coupe 5spd. It is fast in its class (for a non-turbo 4-banger economy car) but in NO way is fast in general, even compared to average SUVs and Minivans.

Heh, at least we know you're kidding ;) That's one of the quickest production vehicles ever as well, though perhaps overrated compared to some of its reputation.

I have a Civic I'm modding that would take a ZR1 fairly easy. It doesn't have an engine or a turbo yet though.

Edit: I wasn't quick enough. People already ratted me out.
