I have got an interesting story for you japanese fanbois. Both my mother and her friend bough Honda Oddyseys of the year 2003 (if I remember correctly). A few weeks ago both of their transmissions broke down. Apparently, the makers of some joint in the transmission made faulty joints. However, rather than having a recall, Honda decided to replace the faulty transmissions as they broke down with reconstructed transmissions, it the transmissions broke down within the first 100,000 miles. Now if some other non-Japanese company had done this, I am sure people would be on their ar$e

Yeah, the difference is that if it was GM they would make you pay for it.

If you want something ordinary for everyday...Japanese. If you want something nicer, European. If you want to save money...American.

Of course, there are exceptions, but in general, that's the way I see it.

Oops, I said europe. I mean japan. Japan has good prices and good quality. europe has nicer overall cars, but too expensive. American cars are mostly garbage.

Hmmm, seems GM is less garbage than Nissan
JDPowerDependability

Double Hmmm, seems people like American cars too.

Shhhh... people don't like to know the truth, they just want to push their jap fanboy knowledge around

Personaly my experiences as being a 20 year old. Driving my boat of a car 99 Chrysler Concorde at 85mph for 6 hours home to Dayton is less tiring than driving an 05 Accord at 70mph from home to Madison a 2.5 hour trip.
I've driven in a single day with very little stops to PA and back. The entire trip was 12 hours on my 97' Toyota Corolla. Other than my hands, I wasn't feeling bad. I could've gone more if I needed to. My girlfriend always finds it more uncomfortable than her 99' Ford Taurus though.

people who buy american aren't as picky as people who buy japanese...what kind of car does grandma drive? caddy/olds/buick and she wants a couch on wheels, not a car.

Not true. If you want to save money, you definitely go with Japanese for gas efficiency as well as price

I love the way German cars handle. I love all 3 German car companies.

You know there are more than 3 right?

I own 2 European (1 Swedish and 1 German) and 1 American. I drive the American one everyday and it never lets me down.
