People seemed to be driving by the crowd if they went left

Into the oncoming lane. The LAW-ABIDING drivers were being forced to drive illegally and were being forced to detour off their selected route by people breaking the law. Period. What part of that would you like to contest? Take your time.

The only thing the drivers did wrong, was going too slow on impact, and not backing over them after.

pedestrians always have the right of way
Not in my country they don't. If you cross the road outside a zebra crossing and are ran over, it's your fault. If you cross the road AT a zebra crossing but do it in a way that is surprising to an oncoming driver, it's your fault.

By law.

Oregon state law only says vehicles are required to yield to pedestrians in crosswalks, as legally defined, and only if they are obeying traffic control devices.

Block the road outside a crosswalk or while my light is green? I have no legal obligation to stop for you.

This is always a possibility when you impose your will on someone, he might have driven around but really, do you have to block an entire street to make your point?. "I'm protesting here and you WILL wait here until WE think you should be able to drive on a public street"....this dude didn't quite share that idea, zero fucks given. Also zero fucks given over Brown getting shot, the lulz when his bud described him as a "gentle giant", then the video comes out where he imposes his will and brazenly steals $50 worth of cigars from a tiny Asian man who probably works 14hr days trying to make a living.

Mr. Policeman, we were protesting how much you guys suck when this car hit us. Can you please go find and arrest the driver now?

If they had dragged the drivers out and beaten them to death you'd have a problem with that, right:rolleyes: The legal thing to do was call the police.

lolol That's what they were doing blocking the road.

The driver used the "might makes right" argument and won.

Might makes right doesn't get you anywhere if there's a higher power (e.g. government) that can severely punish you. Deliberately running over civilians won't end well for those drivers if someone got their license plate information.

I'm sorry but it is really hard to feel sorry for the protesters. Those fucks need to get out of the road.

I wish more people would die at these things tbh. Generally it's just minor injuries, a broken leg, etc.

I have mixed feelings about protesters. The stuff they're protesting about usually makes sense, and with our rights slowly being taken away day after day we need people to fight the system and cause grief to those in power.

But on the other hand, lot of those protesters are there more to cause other people grief, than the people they should be causing grief towards. Take the Ferguson protests for example, instead of damaging stores and other people's property they should be bringing that shit right to the police station or city hall and turning those cars over and breaking those windows. Protest against the actual source of the problem, not random people/places.

But but, what about the loots man? What the fuck is the point of raiding if there are no loots?

You haven't figured it out yet? It's not about who's dying.

And of course, the idiotic misguided privileged white kids need something to do.

Arizona state law disagrees with you.

Not trying to be a smart ass, but I've lived here all my life and was taught during driving instruction and was even on my driving test, that pedestrians always have the right of way.

When did that change and what is the current regulation?

Ideally, there shouldn't be violence at all, and no doubt, there are protesters that do not partake in destruction. However, the breed of people seen in the mob are of a much lower species and could really care less, merely looking for an excuse to smash and grab, or otherwise be part of the big, powerful group.

yeah I cannot feel sorry for them. why are they fucking with normal people's lives? how is preventing regular people from living their lives going to further their cause? do they believe that the people being blocked will be like "oh look the protesters blocked me from picking up my dinner and I am damned hungry - but now I really like these guys maybe I should park and join them?" - I mean seriously, are they protesting the police brutality or are they protesting against commuters?

protest on your own damned time and if you want to interfere with someone's life they why not interfere with the cops by trying blocking their police stations instead of fucking with innocent people?

brings up an interesting question - cops dont do shit to clear up blocked intersections but I wonder what they would do if the protesters blockaded a police station. im sure thats when the tear gas comes out
