People seemed to be driving by the crowd if they went left
pedestrians always have the right of way
Not in my country they don't. If you cross the road outside a zebra crossing and are ran over, it's your fault. If you cross the road AT a zebra crossing but do it in a way that is surprising to an oncoming driver, it's your fault.pedestrians always have the right of way

Did. Should have bought a gun or 12.This is always a possibility when you impose your will on someone, he might have driven around but really, do you have to block an entire street to make your point?. "I'm protesting here and you WILL wait here until WE think you should be able to drive on a public street"....this dude didn't quite share that idea, zero fucks given. Also zero fucks given over Brown getting shot, the lulz when his bud described him as a "gentle giant", then the video comes out where he imposes his will and brazenly steals $50 worth of cigars from a tiny Asian man who probably works 14hr days trying to make a living.
Mr. Policeman, we were protesting how much you guys suck when this car hit us. Can you please go find and arrest the driver now?
lolol That's what they were doing blocking the road.If they had dragged the drivers out and beaten them to death you'd have a problem with that, rightThe legal thing to do was call the police.

The driver used the "might makes right" argument and won.
I have mixed feelings about protesters. The stuff they're protesting about usually makes sense, and with our rights slowly being taken away day after day we need people to fight the system and cause grief to those in power.
But on the other hand, lot of those protesters are there more to cause other people grief, than the people they should be causing grief towards. Take the Ferguson protests for example, instead of damaging stores and other people's property they should be bringing that shit right to the police station or city hall and turning those cars over and breaking those windows. Protest against the actual source of the problem, not random people/places.
Arizona state law disagrees with you.
Ideally, there shouldn't be violence at all, and no doubt, there are protesters that do not partake in destruction. However, the breed of people seen in the mob are of a much lower species and could really care less, merely looking for an excuse to smash and grab, or otherwise be part of the big, powerful group.I have mixed feelings about protesters.
