*sigh* The deal was brokered while Pence was still governor, before the election results.
The whole thing about Trump saving those jobs was a dog-and-pony show for his supporters.
He means the Governor of Indiana at the time. You know, the State that paid Carrier to hold some jobs in Indiana. Pence was entirely happy for Trump to take the credit because it advanced their propaganda agenda better than if he had taken credit himself.

The claim is that Trump had nothing to do with this, like at all. I already knew Pence was involved and heavily so.
