This forum has gotten so weird as to where people respond without reading the thread. Just to clarify with a separate rant: this place has become more reactionary than participatory. It's weird the amount of negative (quite frankly bizarre) ATOT reactions one receives by trying to provide relevant info.

But yea, the two separate motors is what makes this thing better than even rentals. I'll go as far to even say WAY better.

Without reading the entire thread, hire a pro if its because you are moving from a rental or you want/need the carpet to be as clean as possible. I've done both and the professionals by far clean carpets the best.

I have a steamer that gets to 300F at the attachment, of which no bacteria, virus or germ will survive. Bought it used for $250 and it rocks.

Paired with the Green Machine and professional carpet cleaning is a joke for the lazy, no disrespect meant.

Also your rugs need cleaning more than just once a year. Get one of these machines and you'll see just how grody high-traffic rugs get after only a month.

I read the thread, just decided to link that because tortillasoup mentioned that particular model earlier in the thread.

I was actually reinforcing what you wrote. :) I am just melancholy for the give and take of the old days of ATOT. Any good info either immediately gets shot down or lost amongst the trolls.
